Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is making a plea to delegates in the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency to vote for him as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress Party .
As part of his campaign tour for the flagbearership position in the NDC party, he paid a visit to the party delegates in the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency in the Ashanti Region
Mahama emphasized that the date for the NDC flagbearer-ship elections is May 13th, 2023 and he is urging all delegates, especially those in the Afigya Kwabre North District, to vote for him.
Mahama stated that in 2019, he received more than 90% of the votes from the delegates in the country and he is appealing to them to do the same this year. He is not content with just 90%, he wants 99.99% of the votes this time and wants his fellow contestants to share the remaining 0.1%.
During his address, Mahama also took the opportunity to reflect on his loss in the 2020 general elections to the current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo. He explained that the outcome was not in his favor, but he sees it as the work of God.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, former Mayor of Kumasi Kojo Bonsu, and businessman Ernest Kwaku Krobea have all picked up forms for the NDC flagbearership race.
